Carrera Calibre 17 Chronograph Jack Heuer 80th Birthday
1963. Jack Heuer, one of the pioneers of sports timing, developed a chronograph specifically for professional racing drivers. He knew precisely what he wanted: a large, easy-to-read dial and a water-resistant case that would stand up to the knocks of motor racing. The ideal inspiration was right before his eyes: the Carrera Panamericana, a legendary road race of the 1950s when drivers would compete over five days and 2,000 miles across Mexico. Now the Carrera is a legend of its own and, in celebration of Jack Heuer's 81th birthday, TAG Heuer proposes a limited series inspired by the original model.
