Tourbillon Baromètre
Since its invention in the nineteenth century, the tourbillon has become the symbol of watchmaking's
finest traditions. This was also the century when the first barometers were used in meteorology. Now,
for the first time ever, Da Vindice has brought these two scientific feats together in a watch. The aneroid
barometer measures atmospheric pressure using a hermetically sealed Vidie capsule, partially emptied
of air. An innovative mechanism amplifies the movements caused by variations in pressure so they can
be seen on the dial.
