HARWOOD - 75th Anniversary

This automatic movement, the first of its kind for a wristwatch, was patented by John Harwood in 1924. Its originality lies in the winding and setting system, which is operated by the bezel rather than the crown. The various settings are displayed in a window at 6 o'clock. For its 75th anniversary, the watch is being produced with an enamel dial bearing a miniature painting by Louis Reguin. It will be presented at the "Splendours of Enamel" exhibition at the International Watch Museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds from 28 April to 26 September this year.
