For many years, Hermès sold watches that were created and produced by the most prestigious manufacturers, until in 1978, Hermès set up its own watch manufacturing plant in Bienne (Switzerland), called La Montre Hermès SA.

Hermès watches are available in steel, solid silver, gold and steel, solid gold with matching metallic bracelets, or with stitched straps in line with the tradition of the famous Faubourg Saint-Honoré House. The dials have played an important role in Hermès' success story because of their specific and original shape. The back of each watch is engraved with Hermès' distinctive ex-libris signature.
