With the Strom watch collection, Daniel Strom is realising his vision of creating outstanding watches. He has inherited his passion for stylish watches from his father, Armin Strom. The great Swiss watchmaker has been producing hand-skeletonised, one-off masterpieces for more than twenty-five years. Daniel Strom has always worked in the watch industry and is experienced in all areas ranging from developing to producing and marketing watches that are now known all over the world. However, he's always dreamed of having his own label. Philosophy Over four years ago, I had the idea of creating a watch which could do a lot more than just tell the time. I wanted to bring a watch into being that would define life and which would express what everyone knows, that the nature of our existence is transitory.
Time - the medium of life
It has always been difficult for people to accept the transience of their lives. However, transience is an important condition for life. And time is what orders this transience. For this reason, people need to recognize that there is something superior to them. Something they, themselves, cannot control, however powerful they are or will be.
Birth and death - coming into being and passing away - are two events directly connected with one another. What lies in between is called life. And the medium for life is called time. So time is not a static unit of measurement, it is rather life energy. Time allows you to achieve your aims, to harmonize your material, mental and emotional well-being and to create something long-lasting that you can be proud of. However, because time is our constant companion, it is also our greatest critic - especially for those who try to run away from it... Mit der Strom-Uhrenkollektion realisiert Daniel Strom seine Idee einer starken Uhrenkreation. Die Leidenschaft zu stilvollen Uhren hat er bereits von seinem Vater Armin Strom. Der grosse Schweizer Uhrmacher fertigt seit über fünfundzwanzig Jahren meisterhaft handskelettierte Einzelstücke. Daniel Strom ist seit jeher in der Uhrenbranche tätig und erfahren in der Entwicklung und Produktion bis zur Vermarktung von heute weltweit bekannten Uhren. Die Vision des eigenen Labels war bei ihm jedoch stets präsent. Philosophie Vor Jahren hatte ich die Idee, eine Uhr zu kreieren, die weit mehr kann als einfach nur die Uhrzeit anzuzeigen. Ich wollte eine Uhr in die Welt setzen, die das Leben definiert, in dem bekanntlich die Zeit – und damit auch die Vergänglichkeit – unseres Seins zum Ausdruck kommt.
Seit jeher fällt es den Menschen schwer, ihre Vergänglichkeit zu akzeptieren. Doch die Vergänglichkeit ist eine wichtige Bedingung für das Leben. Und die Zeit ist die Ordnung des Vergänglichen. Entsprechend müssen die Menschen erkennen, dass es etwas gibt, das höher ist als sie. Etwas, das sich nicht beeinflussen lässt – ganz egal, wie mächtig sie sind oder werden.
Die Geburt und der Tod, das Entstehen und Vergehen, sind unmittelbar miteinander verbunden. Der Zustand dazwischen wird Leben genannt. Und das Medium für das Leben heisst Zeit. Zeit ist somit keine statische Masseinheit, sie ist vielmehr Lebensenergie. Die Zeit ist es, die es Ihnen ermöglicht, Ziele zu erreichen, Ihren Güter-, Mental- und Gefühlswohlstand in Einklang zu bringen und Nachhaltiges zu schaffen, auf das Sie stolz sein können.
