1993 – Fawaz Gruosi ouvre sa première boutique, au 104 rue du Rhône, à Genève, avec deux associés. Il la baptise de GRISOGONO en référence au nom de jeune fille de la mère de l’un de ses deux associés. Fawaz Gruosi se spécialise dans la création de bijoux et la vente d’objets d’art.

1995 – Fawaz Gruosi se sépare de ses deux associés et fonde de GRISOGONO S.A.

1996 – Fawaz Gruosi se fait un nom en rendant ses lettres de noblesse au diamant noir tandis que cette gemme avait depuis longtemps été délaissée par les joailliers à cause de sa rareté et de son extrême fragilité. Il crée une collection de bijoux entièrement dédiée au diamant noir. L’enthousiasme du public achève de le convaincre que cette pierre doit devenir l’emblème de de GRISOGONO S.A.

1997 – de GRISOGONO S.A. agrandit la boutique de Genève. Elle occupe alors les numéros 104 et 106 de la rue du Rhône. Elle déménagera plus tard au numéro 27 de la même rue.

1998 - La marque ouvre une nouvelle boutique à Londres, au 3 Burlington Gardens.

1999 – Fawaz Gruosi utilise le diamant noir dans la confection d’objets usuels tels une paire de lunettes de soleil ou un téléphone portable, lequel est serti de 240 diamants pour un total de 18 carats.
de GRISOGONO ouvre une boutique au Palace Hôtel de Gstaad.

2000 – Fawaz Gruosi se présente au Salon de Bâle avec sa première collection horlogère baptisée Instrumento N°Uno. Il est le premier horloger à utiliser le galuchat pour ses bracelets de montres. Il est également le seul à proposer un mouvement en acier noirci. Il lance cette même année une nouvelle collection joaillière avec des diamants lactescents qu’il baptise « Icy Diamonds ».
Une boutique ouvre ses portes à Rome.

2001 – Fawaz Gruosi lance sa deuxième montre, qu’il baptise Instrumentino, pendant féminin de sa première montre.
Une boutique est ouverte à Porto Cervo.

2002 – La marque crée l’Instrumento Doppio, une montre à complication présentant la particularité inédite d’être dotée de deux cadrans pour un unique mouvement.
Une boutique est ouverte en franchising au Koweït. Le groupe Chopard prend une participation de 49 % dans la société de GRISOGONO S.A.

2003 – de GRISOGONO S.A. lance deux nouvelles montres, l’Instrumento Doppio Tre et son troisième fuseau horaire ainsi que l’Instrumento Tondo.
Fawaz Gruosi présente une collection de bijoux en galuchat. Il lance également la première ligne de bijoux pour la ditribution.
de GRISOGONO crée une filiale à New York. Deux nouvelles boutiques sont ouvertes à Paris et St. Moritz.

2004 – La marque lance trois nouveautés horlogères, l’Instrumentino Steel & Diamonds, l’Instrumento Chrono et la Lipstick.
de GRISOGONO S.A. ouvre des boutiques à New York, Hong Kong et Moscou. La boutique de Londres change d’adresse pour s’installer au 14A New Bond Street.

2005 – de GRISOGONO S.A. lance trois nouveautés horlogères : l’Instrumento Grande, la Power Breaker et la montre à complication Occhio Ripetizione Minuti. Dotée d’un diaphragme à 12 volets qui laisse apparaître le mouvement le temps de la sonnerie pour se refermer ensuite, cette montre éditée à seulement 50 exemplaires connaît un succès immédiat.
La même année, de GRISOGONO S.A. invente une nouvelle teinte d’or, le « Browny Brown Gold » qu’il met au point grâce à un traitement spécial basé sur le principe du PVD (Physical Vaporisation and Deposition).
La société crée son propre atelier de joaillerie à Plan-les-Ouates.

2006 – de GRISOGONO S.A. présente quatre nouvelles montres : l’Instrumento Grande Open Date, la Uno Grande Seconde, la montre à complication FG One et la be Eight. de GRISOGONO S.A. crée une filiale au Japon. Une deuxième boutique est ouverte à Moscou.

2007 – Fawaz Gruosi reprend la participation de Chopard dans la société de GRISOGONO S.A. Fawaz Gruosi devient ainsi l’unique propriétaire de de GRISOGONO S.A. Fawaz Gruosi crée une bague autour du Virgin Scarlet, un rubis naturel de 45,39 carats. La marque lance deux nouveautés horlogères, l’Instrumento Novantatre et la Piccolina. La société se dote d’un nouvel atelier d’horlogerie plus spacieux permettant l’acquisition de machines performantes.
Deux nouvelles boutiques ouvrent leurs portes à Tokyo et à Saint-Barthélémy.

2008 – Fawaz Gruosi célèbre le 15ème anniversaire de de GRISOGONO S.A. En janvier, la société lève le voile sur deux nouvelles montres dotées de complications mécaniques totalement inédites. Elle annonce le projet de construction d’une nouvelle manufacture nécessaire à répondre à la rapide expansion de la société.

2009 – La Maison genevoise dévoile sa vingt-deuxième collection horlogère : Fuso Quadrato, diaphragme à douze volets en titane et un double fuseau horaire. de GRISOGONO S.A. développe sa croissance avec 16 boutiques dans le monde. Le réseau des détaillants atteint 180 points de vente et l’entreprise compte 160 collaborateurs. Entrée de nouveaux partenaires minoritaires (40%) dans le capital de la société afin de renforcer la croissance de l’entreprise.

1993 - Along with two associates, Fawaz Gruosi opened h first boutique at 104, rue du Rhône, in Geneva, specialized in jewelry design and the sale of objets d’art. He named it “de Grisogono” after the maiden name of the mother of one of his two associates.

1995 - Fawaz Gruosi took leave of his associates and incorporated de Grisogono S.A.

1996 - Singlehandedly bringing black diamond back from oblivion despite its rareness and extreme brittleness forged Fawaz Gruosi’s reputation. Going on to create an entire collection of black diamond jewelry, he concluded that the enthusiastic public reception it met with made the black diamond the perfect de Grisogono emblem.

1997 - The Geneva boutique was extended to occupy numbers 104 and 106 on rue du Rhône. It would later move to number 27 on the same street.

1998 - A new de Grisogono boutique opened in London, at 3 Burlington Gardens.

1999 - Fawaz Gruosi turned out various familiar objects, studded with black diamonds including a pair of sunglasses and a cellphone, the latter featuring 240 stones weighing 18 carats in all.

A de Grisogono boutique opened at the Palace Hotel in Gstaad.

2000 - Fawaz Gruosi was on hand at the World Watch and Jewellery Fair in Basel with his first watch collection, called Instrumento N°Uno. He was also the first to come up with galuchat watch straps and the first to present a movement in blackened steel... That same year he launched a new jewelry collection featuring milky white gemstones dubbed “Icy Diamonds”.
A de Grisogono boutique opened in Rome.

2001 - Fawaz Gruosi introduced his second watch, called Instrumentino, the feminine partner of his first design.
Porto Cervo saw the inauguration of a de Grisogono boutique.

2002 - The year’s new watch was named Instrumento Doppio, a “complication” timepiece featuring a totally original feature: two dials driven by one and the same movement.
A de Grisogono boutique opened in Kuwait under a franchising agreement. The Chopard Group acquired a 49% interest in the de Grisogono company.

2003 - Two new watch models launched: Instrumento Doppio Tre, showing a third timezone, and Instrumento Tondo. Fawaz Gruosi introduced a collection of galuchat jewelry along with his first line of distribution jewelry.
A de Grisogono subsidiary was set up in New York.
Paris and St. Moritz each gained a boutique.

2004 - Launch of three new watch designs: Instrumento Steel & Diamonds, Instrumento Chrono and Lipstick.
de Grisogono opened boutiques in New York, Hong Kong and Moscow. The London boutique moved to 14A New Bond Street.

2005 - Three more novel watch designs joined the de Grisogono roster: Instrumento Grande, Power Breaker and Occhio Ripetizione Minuti, a “complication” design. Featuring a 12-blade diaphragm that opens to reveal the movement before closing again, the watch’s 50-unit production run proved an instant hit.
That same year, de Grisogono devised a new shade of gold called “Browny Brown Gold”, developed via a special treatment based on the PVD (Physical Vaporization and Deposition) process.
The company opened its own jewelry workshop in Plan-les-Ouates.

2006 - de Grisogono unveiled four new watch designs: Instrumento Grande Open Date, Uno Grande Seconde, the FG One “complication” and the be Eight.
A de Grisogono subsidiary opened for business in Japan while Moscow benefited from a second boutique.

2007 - Fawaz Gruosi bought out Chopard’s equity stake in de Grisogono S.A., returning the company to his sole ownership. A 45.39-carat natural ruby called Virgin Scarlet allowed him to create a memorably stunning ring. Launch of two new watch designs: Instrumento Novantatre and Piccolina. The company invested in a new, larger watchmaking workshop equipped high high-performance manufacturing equipment.
New boutiques open in Tokyo and St Barthelemy.

2008 - Fawaz Gruosi celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of de Grisogono S.A. In January, the company unveiled a pair of watches featuring total original mechanical “complications”. The company announced the construction of a new “manufacture” as current installations could no longer cope with the company’ fast-paced growth.

2009 - the year got under way with de Grisogono’s twenty-second watch collection: Fuso Quadrato, featuring a two-blade titanium diaphragm and a second timezone display. Today, 16 boutiques across the world mark the company’s steady expansion and 180 outlets compose its dealer network while its workforce now numbers 160. New partners have taken a minority (40%) stake in de Grisogono’s share capital, strengthening and fueling its future development.
